Also within walking distance are three ferries that dock at and depart from the quayside at the waterfront to take you to the Heads and Featherbed. Private moorings offer the convenience of stepping off the patio and onto a boat. A small working farm, in a rural area 18kms outside Knysna on the Rheenendal road to the Goudveld indigenous forest. The gully that gave the farm it’s name runs through the bottom half of the land and the cabins, being built on stilts, at the edge of the gorge give the impression of being in the tree tops. They are so positioned as to provide maximum seclusion and privacy and each cabin’s deck faces it’s own view through the trees. They are uniquely different and each one has it’s own distinct appeal.
